The whole world, in view.
We're building the operating system for travel — one place that holds your entire trip and stays a step ahead of it, with real people who've been there built in.
The problem
Travel is the last big part of life that hasn't been given a real system. You still assemble a trip by hand across twenty tabs — flights here, visas there, a stranger's blog, a chatbot that forgets your dates — and then you carry all of it in your head, hoping nothing moves. When something does, you're the last to know.
What we're building
Layag holds the whole trip in one place and keeps an eye on it: it plans day by day, checks the visas for your passport, flags bad weather on your travel days, and keeps emergency numbers and your embassy one tap away. And when you want a human's take, it gives you guides from people who've walked your route — not a forum thread from years ago.
Who's building Layag.
A small team building the travel planner we wanted on our own trips.

Layag
Filipino for “to set sail” — maglayag is to set out across open water. Sailors have always read the sky before they leave, never after. That's the whole product: you go, and something else keeps watching the weather ahead of you.
Personalized
Built around your route, budget, and taste — never a generic list.
Predictive
Visa reminders and weather alerts before they become problems.
Reliable
One system that owns the outcome, not a dozen that don't.
Human
Guides from real people who've been where you're going.
Global
Visa checks for 195+ countries, for your passport.
If you'd rather be travelling than tab-wrangling.
Solo travelers
A plan that already has your back, and emergency help one tap away.
Digital nomads
Know whether your passport needs a visa before you book the next leg.
First-timers abroad
The confidence of a friend who's done it, without needing to have one.
Families
Fewer surprises, more of the trip actually spent together.
Groups
One shared plan everyone can see and edit together.
Creators
Turn deep local knowledge into paid guides for travelers heading your way.
